(1) Any person who has made appreciable contributions to the upliftment and well-being of the country and the human race by being selflessly involved in various fields of human life can be awarded a meritorious medal.
(2) The design, shape and plaque of the medal as per sub-rule (1) shall be valid if mentioned in Appendix Three Schedule-3.
